Support Group For Mothers is offering New Moms Groups for First Time and Second/Third Time Moms starting in July & August

New Six Week Groups Starting:

July 8th

August 5th

Join other new moms and babies in an opportunity for immediate and long term support and connection

In these very challenging times we need community and support more than ever!

Groups meet twice a week:

Once a week for a facilitated conversation

We focus on topics important to new mothers: sharing birth, adoption or surrogacy stories; relationships, communication and sharing parenting responsibilities; returning to work - or not, finding childcare, others caring for your baby; identity, sibling and family adjustment; local resources and more...

I send an email after each session with resources based on our discussion

Once a week for an activity or outing with the other moms and babies

These more casual get togethers allow for more relaxed conversation and forming friendships and it provides an opportunity to gain confidence in getting out and about with your little one

There are so many wonderful things to explore as a parent in the East Bay

Groups continue to meet after the first six weeks and we plan for this transition in our last session of the group

Most groups stay together for years once they begin!

Groups meet in the lovely and convenient Emeryville offices of East Bay Lactation Associates & Loving Arms Birth And Parenting

There is easy, free street parking and it is close to public transport

These are the longest existing support groups for new mothers in the Bay Area

They are proven resource that can enhance your parenting journey

Groups are facilitated by Jennifer Subasic-Marks

I have been providing education and support for expectant and new East Bay families for more than 30 years

I have worked at Alta Bates Hospital in Berkeley for 33 years doing prenatal and postpartum education and support

I am a certified doula, lactation educator, childbirth educator and support group facilitator

I am also the grateful mother of three amazing humans

I did this group as a first time mom more than 35 years ago and it made such a difference in my experience that I wanted to provide that opportunity for other mothers too

I hope to see you and your little one in a group soon!
