I'm excited to share this Postpartum Dads Group, a collaboration between SF Bay Play Therapy by Karen Wolfe, MFT and Katlynn Neill at Little Seeds!

Did you know that 1 in 10 fathers experience postpartum depression? Becoming a new dad is life-changing. It’s exciting, overwhelming, joyful, confusing, and everything in between. But while there’s a lot out there for moms, dads often don’t get the same space to talk honestly about the transition into parenthood. Fatherhood deserves support, too.

This group is here to make a change!

What it is:

A 4-week Saturday morning group for dads with babies 0–6 months, held at Little Seeds in Lafayette. It’s laid-back, real, and built around connection with your baby, and with other dads figuring it all out too.

June 28 – July 26 (no group July 12)

Saturdays, 10–11am

Little Seeds, Perinatal Center: 3568 Mountain Diablo Blvd, Lafayette

Babies welcome (and encouraged to come!)

$120 for the 4-week series

Each week has a gentle theme like finding your role, adjusting to “the new normal,” showing up, and staying connected with your partner, but mostly it’s about having a place to talk (or just listen), hang out, and be with your baby.

This group might be for you if:

— You're adjusting to new routines

— You want to connect with your baby in a meaningful way

— You're not really a “group guy” but know support wouldn’t hurt

— Your partner needs a break (and this gives them one).

Feel free to pass this along to any dads you think could use it!

Facilitated by co-owner and lead supervisor at SF Bay Play Therapy Family Counseling Center, Nauser Bear Soul-utions Nauser Wolfe, LMFT

Nauser Wolfe (he/him) is a licensed Marriage and family therapist and a dedicated father to a joyful and curious 3½-year-old, and he brings both his personal and professional experience into his work supporting new dads. With a background in Child center to play therapy and Hand In Hand Parenting coaching, Men’s work through the Humankind project and Rising Man, and equity-centered Mindful communication practices, Nauser creates a grounded, welcoming space for fathers to show up just as they are—tired, excited, unsure, or all of the above.

He knows how transformative, messy, and meaningful the early postpartum period can be—and how rarely dads are invited to talk about it. In this group, Nauser offers space for real conversations, connection with your baby, and community with other fathers. Whether you’re finding your rhythm or just figuring things out one diaper at a time, you’re not alone—and this group is for you.
