Scientific Adventures: We're Hiring Afterschool Teachers!

Scientific Adventures for Girls (SAfG) is seeking Part-Time STEM Teaching Assistants AND Part-Time STEM Head Teachers.  If you're passionate about sparking elementary-aged girls' interest in STEM and ready to make a difference, you're in the right place. (A teaching credential is not required.) 

Teaching Assistant Salary: $19.18 - $23.00

Head Teacher Salary: $22.00 - $29.50

Commitment: 15 - 25 hrs / week (August 2025 - June 2026)

• Potential to extend work into the Summer to teach 5-week summer programs.
• Commit to 5 days per week (Monday - Friday)
• In-person teaching at elementary schools in the East Bay (Berkeley, Emeryville, Oakland, San Pablo, El Sobrante, Richmond)
• Core Work Hours: approximately 1:30 - 5:30 pm
