Math and Reading advancement, PK-12

Kumon's time-tested methods and curriculum help millions of students worldwide achieve their goals in Math and Reading. 

Students generally come to the center twice per week, and should complete work daily on their own (or with easy parent interaction for preschoolers). The typical workload is 20-30 minutes per subject each day. 

The Kumon program is designed to support preschool through 12th grade. 

I have been involved in education (as a high school teacher, K-8 test developer, SAT prep coach, writing tutor, literacy tutor, and reading intervention content developer) for three decades. When my son needed help with math, he came to Kumon and found success within a year, even working here for the previous instructor. For the past three years at Kumon, I have helped hundreds of students develop confidence and above-grade-level skills in Math and Reading. 

Prospective students start with a free placement test and parent orientation, which can be scheduled at kumon.com/el-cerrito. I welcome your calls or emails, and invite interested families to schedule a visit at any stage in the process. Students attend at their preferred times during our open hours, which are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 3:00 to 6:30. We schedule meetings Monday through Saturday.
