You don't have to face it alone!  I’m here to help your child feel more confident and comfortable with math.

I understand that some students feel anxious about math, so I take things slowly and make sure there’s plenty of time for questions and discussion. My teaching style is patient and understanding, and I make sure the lessons are easy to follow.

What makes my tutoring special is that I have a background in counseling, which helps me help students feel calm, build confidence, and enjoy learning. Students say my sessions go by quickly because they feel more relaxed and they improve in math!

I taught math in public schools for 10 years, and tutored math for 20 years, including Math 1, Math 2, and Math 3. I currently work at Berkeley Independent Study.

I tutor in my cozy library in Emeryville (across from the Public Market) on Saturdays or by Zoom. My rate is $95 per hour.
