Rachel Tucker, LMFT: Parent Group - Helping Anxious Preschool Kids
Now forming a parent group to support families with preschool aged kids (ages 2-5) who have big worries. We will meet weekly (Fridays from 10:30am-11:45am) over Zoom. You will have a chance to share about situations that happened with your kiddo recently and get support and strategies for how to help your child decrease anxiety.
What does anxiety look like in a preschool kid?
- Resistance to trying new things
- Difficulty with transitions (leaving the house, saying goodbye at school, bedtime)
- Agitation and grumpiness
- Difficulty being away from a parent at home
Why a group? Having an anxious child can be a very isolating experience. When you meet with other families who are having similar situations it can be validating as well as helpful to hear how others have managed something similar. You will get support from the group leader as well as from other members of the group.
Dates: Fridays May 2nd – June 6th
Time: 10:30am – 11:45am
Location: Online Zoom Meeting
Fee for 6 meetings: $180
