Looking for math support that’s both effective and encouraging? I’m Kelsey Barbella, an Oakland-based tutor with over 10 years of middle school math teaching experience. I offer personalized 1-on-1 tutoring for students in grades 5-12, focusing on building deep understanding, confidence, and a love of learning. Whether your child is struggling with key concepts, looking to get ahead, or needs help preparing for assessments, I tailor each session to their needs. My approach is warm, inquiry-based, and student-centered—perfect for kids who need both support and challenge.

Beyond tutoring, I run engaging after-school math clubs and vibrant summer math camps designed to make math fun, creative, and hands-on. I’ve worked with students across a range of abilities and learning styles, including those with ADHD and math anxiety, and I believe every child can succeed in math with the right support.
