I have 30+ years of EXPERIENCE successfully teaching Reading and Writing to students with special needs and those that are generally falling behind in school. I have a talent for forming POSITIVE RELATIONSHIPS with unconventional or reluctant learners and MOTIVATING them to do their best work. I can easily CONNECT with students from DIVERSE backgrounds. I enjoy finding ways to ENGAGE students who may have struggled in school or become discouraged. I use INTERACTIVE, MULTI-SENSORY & RELATIONSHIP-BASED approaches that BUILD ON STUDENTS' STRENGTHS while remediating weaknesses. I believe ALL STUDENTS ARE CAPABLE of learning and improving their skills with the correct instructional approach that respects their INDIVIDUAL LEARNING STYLES, PREFERENCES, and INTERESTS. I have successfully HELPED 100'S OF STUDENTS increase their reading levels even after previous efforts have not produced results.

RATES: $60/session (multi-session discounts available). After school and evening hours. Meet ONLINE or IN PERSON at my home office.  Other locations are negotiable.
