BPN is becoming an independent non-profit this year, as described on New Website Plans, and we need your help!
Here are some of the ways BPN subscribers and community members can help build our new self-sustaining website:
- Help fund the new website!
We have a small grant which has gotten us started, but we need to raise more funds to pay for professional programmer services for the new website. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation to BPN. Click here: Donate to BPN. If you give us permission, we'll add your name to the Thank You Page.
- Help us move!
We will need many volunteers to help us review and edit the 6,600 pages of content we are transferring from the old website to the new one. If you'd like to help, send us email at vol [at] berkeleyparentsnetwork.org (vol[at]berkeleyparentsnetwork[dot]org). It would be great if you have edited websites before, but all you really need to know how to do is compare old and new web pages, edit pages as needed using Word-like editing tools, copy-paste text from one window to another on your computer, and use Google Drive.
- Design a BPN logo!
The contest for a logo for the new website received 43 submissions, and BPN members voted on their favorites Dec 1-15, 2014. The winner was announced on Dec 18, 2014. See this page for the winning logo, the Honorable Mentions, and credits for all the logos that were submitted.
