Yervika Herbs: Herbal workshops

Hello families! 

I'm an herbal educator and I provide workshops and classes for parents and kids to bring back herbal knowledge into everyday life. Rooted in the understanding that herbal knowledge is necessary knowledge for our collective future, my classes & workshops help to facilitate a sense of connection & belonging with nature, and help promote more self-sufficiency in health & wellness.

Workshop topics include: 

-historical uses of herbs

-herbal teas to support health & wellness

-herbs to plant in your garden ecosystem 

-make your own home remedies

-make your own home products (herbal lotion, deodorant, etc)

I bring 17 years of experience in education: I've been a classroom teacher, teacher educator & educational researcher, and I also have a PhD in education from UC Berkeley. As a former literacy teacher, I bring reading & writing skills into my work, and also a lens of social justice and connection to place & ancestry.
