Words in the Wild: Summer Camp 2025
In partnership with St. Paul’s Episcopal School, we look forward to welcoming you into our summer camp 2025!
This reading camp merges literacy and outdoor education through playful nature exploration. Curious campers grow their love of reading and writing through garden science, art, games, and more in the gardens at Lake Merritt, the St. Paul’s courtyard, and Fairyland. Our young scientists sharpen their powers of inquiry as they observe, document, and explore both language and nature, with plenty of free time for friendships and play.
Our program is currently designed for rising 1st-4th graders with a leadership opportunity for 6th-8th graders to join us as counselors-in-training. (Rising 5th grade accepted on a case-by-case basis. Please reach out if you have an interested 5th grader.)
