Support Group For Mothers Offers Support Groups for First Time Moms & for Second/Third Time Moms
Join other moms and babies in a wonderful opportunity for support and connection!
Six week groups meet twice a week:
Once a week for a facilitated conversation
Once a week for an outing or activity - we plan for these weekly outings during our regular sessions
Groups continue to meet after first six week for as long as there is interest - we plan for this during our last session to make the transition smooth
Most groups stay together for years once they begin!
We meet in the lovely and comfortable Emeryville offices of East Bay Lactation Associates & Loving Arms Childbirth Services
We meet inside on comfortable sofas and chairs or outside on a rooftop deck with umbrellas for sun
There is a changing pad, tea and filtered water, snacks, nursing pillows and foot stools & birth balls for bouncing fussy babies
We focus on topics important to new mothers including:
Sharing birth or adoption stories, the story of your baby's name, sibling & family adjustment, returning to work - or not, finding childcare, relationships & communication, sharing parenting responsibilities, physical recovery, local resources, identity and more....

Jennifer Subasic-Marks
I have been providing education and support for expectant and new families in the East Bay for more than 30 years
I have worked at Alta Bates Hospital for 33 years doing prenatal and postpartum education & support
I am a certified and experienced: childbirth educator, lactation educator, doula and support group facilitator
And I am mom to three amazing humans
This is the group that I did as a first time mom and it was so helpful to me that I wanted other women to have this opportunity
