Summer Knitting Camp: Learn to Knit in Dover Park this Summer (Ages 7-13)
This July, give your child the gift of creativity and calm connection through knitting! Join Robin for a series of cozy, small-group knitting sessions nestled in Dover Park, Oakland.
Tuesdays & Thursdays July 15 & 17, 22 & 24, 29 & 31, 3-5 pm, $50 per day.
What to expect...
• Learn to knit or expand existing skills.
• Get 1-on-1 help with current projects.
• Craft side-by-side in a peaceful, playful setting.
• Gain inspiration from a knitwear designer's work.
• Each child receives a hand-sewn knitting project bag to keep!
What to bring...
If your child already knits, bring their knitting project and tools. If your child doesn’t know how to knit yet, or doesn’t have any yarn or needles, please indicate this in the sign up form and I can help provide materials.
A camping chair or blanket, water bottle, sunscreen, sunhat, and a warm layer (jacket or windbreaker).
Meet Robin:
Robin learned to knit at the age of five from her Danish mother and has been creating ever since. She now designs knitwear and always has several projects in motion. With substantial experience teaching knitting—from school kids to friends and family—she brings both technical skill and joy to her work. Robin currently works as an assistant teacher at the San Francisco Waldorf preschool.
