Quest Therapeutic Camps: Afterschool programs begin in Oakland and Alamo

The Afterschool program willl begin on Thursdays in Oakland on 9/25 at St John's Episcopal Church and Tuesdays in Alamo starting 9/23 at Rancho Romero Elementary School. Led by our Afterschool director, Gianna Scolini, AMFT with our experienced therapist, Sal Maciel, AMFT and two summer counselors, children with mild to moderate emotional and social issues will be guided through our evidence-based therapy program to learn new skills and develop better interactions. Quest combines an hour of activities to observe children interacting and teach skills while having fun. The second hour is group therapy with individualized goals, experiential therapy techniques and cognitive-behavior model. Research has demonstrated that students who attend the Afterschol program have improved coping skills during the school year. New campers require a screening session before participating in the program. Costs of the program are reimbursable through medical insurance. The fee for 10 weeks is $1075.
