Magnolia Children's School: 2 spots left for 2025-2026 school year

We are a mixed-aged preschool with children ranging from 1.5- 5 years old. All the children interact together, but we have different curriculum for different ages. Children are encouraged to be active on our play structure. Older children lead younger children in all activities. 

We have 12 children with 2 teacher, a 6:1 ratio. We build strong relationships with the children and parents. I have a BA in Psychology and a minor in Education from UC Berkeley and 20 years of experience. 

We are play-based, with emphasis in social- emotional development, conflict mediation, and self-help skills. We encourage the children to have fun and be creative while learning. 

We have a weekly Yoga class and Music class with outside teachers. Daily art projects and circle-time. We have sit down lunch and 3 snacks a day. We provide the snacks and parents pack a lunch. 
We have a new sharing theme each month based on the children’s interests. For example: Dinosaurs, Outer Space or Plants/Gardening. 
We do community building events like park playdates and potluck dinners. We have a spring Art Show. We have a Graduation Ceremony for children moving on to Elementary School. We do field trips to local parks, Children’s Fairyland, or Little Farm. We take children 3 years and older to swim lessons in June. 

We have nap time from 12:30-2. Children who need to sleep, fall asleep, children who do not sleep, rest and then flip through books before going to the art room for a project for the older children. 

The majority of the preschool space is outdoors in our backyard. We have a play structure with swings, slide, fire pole & climbing wall.
