Jon's School of Music: Fall Quarter Starts Sep. 18, Indoor and Outdoor!

Outdoor classes are back!

In the outdoor classes, kids will get to play drum set, electric and acoustic guitar, trumpet, bugle, flute, melodica, drum machine, xylophone, accordion, microphone, violin, cello, and much more. Families will need to bring their own drums, sticks, bells (in the younger class) and melodicas or keyboards (in the older class). 

In the indoor class at Totland, children (1 - 6 year olds) play acoustic and electronic drum set, keyboard, electric and acoustic guitar, cello, violin, bass, drum machine, tabla, harp, autoharp, banjo, roto toms, conga, bongo, xylophone, marimba, bugle, trumpet, french horn, accordion, melodica, song flute, recorder, guzheng, microphone, sampler, otomatone and much more! 

All classes are taught by Jon Merker, a fun and creative UC Berkeley trained professional musician with 28 years experience teaching these classes.

Here are the proposed outdoor classes:

           Monday 4:00 at Arlington Park for 3 - 5 year olds (older class, level 2&3)

           Tuesday 4:00 at Berkeley Marina for 4 - 6 year olds (older class, level 3&4)

           Friday 4:00, location TBD 1.5 - 5 year olds (younger class, level 1&2)
