Adoptees Connecting Club (ACC)
ACC is a fun, safe and creative place for adoptees, 7-14 years old led by Mary Ellen Hill.  Mary Ellen was adopted as an infant and has been exploring adoption in various creative ways for many years. This club is for children who want to explore their adoption in a supportive and playful way with other adopted children. Each child will have many opportunities to share, explore and celebrate their particular life journey as an adopted person through various art forms: drawing, cooking, movement, mindfulness, creative visualization, and drama. Since there are no more than 8 children at our club meetings, there is time for all to participate fully. ACC is located in Oakland, CA in Mary Ellen’s back yard.  This is a chance for your child to be outside in a beautiful, magical setting, to move their bodies and do really fun, cooperative, creative activities. There is a loquat tree for climbing, swings, hammock, fruit, herb and vegetable patches. Adoptees Connecting Club (ACC) 2025/26 is on Saturdays from 1-5 pm October 4, November 1, December 6, 2025  February 7, March 7, April 4 & May 2, 2026. Cost is $800.  Here is what kids say about ACC. So, thanks again, love," “You have made a safe place to talk about things we don’t talk about that much.  I trust you.” Mary Ellen Hill has a Masters degree In Earth Justice, an Elementary Education degree, has been a professional storyteller since 1990 and has 45 years experience of teaching in a wide variety of settings. She worked at Adventure Time for 32 years, co-led Puppets and Pie, and has led FAD PAD creative camps for 14 years.
