Every Child Plays at Berkeley: Join Every Child Plays at Berkeley!

My name is Jooyoung Kim, and I’m the Program Coordinator for Every Child Plays at Berkeley, a new club at UC Berkeley dedicated to supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) through inclusive team sports like soccer and flag football.

Our mission is to help children ages 5–13 with verbal communication skills build confidence, teamwork, and social communication — all while having fun through play! Our program is modeled after a successful initiative at UC San Diego and is grounded in research-backed strategies for engaging neurodiverse children.

We’d love to invite your family to join our community! Here’s what you can expect:

Program Schedule

Start Date: September 9th, 2025

Weekly Sessions at Willard Park (Berkeley):

Tuesdays: 4:30–6:00 PM

Saturdays: 10:00–11:30 AM

Each session includes both practice and game time in a structured, supportive environment.

Parent Orientation (via Zoom)

Date: August 21st, 2025

Time: 6:00 PM
