Every Child Plays at Berkeley: Enrolling Interested ASD Families for upcoming Fall!
I hope everyone is having an amazing summer break so far!
I am here to proudly announce that Every Child Plays at Berkeley is open to interested families! Every Child Plays at Berkeley is a student-run organization affiliated with UC Berkeley, working to create a safe and welcoming environment for ASD children to make friends and community through having fun playing sports such as soccer and flag football!
Every Child Plays at Berkeley is modeled after a successful program at UC San Diego, and we aim to maintain alignment with their mission and structure. Our current plan includes two weekly sessions (one weekday and one weekend), each lasting about 1.5 hours, split between practice and game time, starting practices on September 1st!
A key aspect of our program is research-backed engagement with neurodiverse children, specifically those aged 6-12 with verbal communication skills. You can find more details about our mission and activities on our website: Every Player Plays.
We’re excited about the opportunity to work together to create a positive experience for children with ASD!
Here is our interest form, and spread the word to anyone who may be interested!
