Elementary Art Therapy Group (Grades 3–5)
Creative Connections: Art Therapy for Growing Minds
The Elementary Art Therapy Group is designed for children of all genders in 3rd to 5th grade to explore their thoughts, feelings, and identities through hands-on, process-based art making. Grounded in developmental psychology and child-centered therapy, the group offers a safe, playful environment where children can express themselves, build self-awareness, and strengthen social-emotional skills. Activities focus on creativity over “craft” and encourage confidence, communication, and self-regulation through guided exploration with a variety of materials. Each session is structured to meet children where they are—emotionally, cognitively, and developmentally—while fostering imagination, empathy, and resilience.
Ideal for children who may be:
- Experiencing anxiety, stress, or transitions
- Struggling with emotional regulation or peer relationships
- Looking for a creative and therapeutic outlet
