The Coder School Berkeley: Sign Up for Coding Class This Summer!

Kids' Classes, Groups, Teams & Tutors
City:
Berkeley
Ages:
School-Aged

The Coder School Berkeley is currently enrolling students ages 8-10 in Code Class, our traditional curriculum-based offering designed to introduce novices to the world of coding.

Using Scratch (developed at MIT) our Code Coaches teach coding concepts to kids working with our project-based, game development curriculum. By breaking down a game into component parts, and then building (and embellishing them) as they go, kids are introduced to the logical thinking required for coding as they learn the concepts behind variables, if/then and loop logic and much more. These important coding skills serve as the foundation for expanding into other coding languages, projects and applications.

Code Classes are held at our sweet coding facility in North Berkeley at 1385 Shattuck Ave, Ste C. Code Class runs one hour per week and costs $169 per month.

We currently have availability in the following classes:

  • Tuesday, 4 pm to 5 pm
  • Saturday, 9 am to 10 am
  • Saturday, 10 am to 11 am

You can register your child for any of our Code Classes online.

If you are interested in scheduling your child for a FREE 30-minute trial, you can book an available time slot. During the trial, a Code Coach will work with your child on a few coding challenges to assess their skill level and readiness for one of our programs. It will also give you a chance to check out our space and learn more about our programs and teaching philosophy.

Email us at or call us at 510-679-2375 for more information on any of our programs.
