The Coder School Berkeley: Fun, Hardware-Based Summer Coding Camps
Does your child love to tinker? Are they always trying to take things apart and figure out how they work? If so, The Coder School Berkeley has a few spots left in our hardware-based summer camps that we think your child will love! Whether it is learning to program circuits with the latest Raspberry Pi computer or turning their app idea into a real Android Mobile Phone App using MIT's AppInventor, we have the camp for your curious child. All of our hardware-based camps cost $749 per week and include hardware that your child will get to take home and keep!
Summer camps are held at The Coder School Berkeley from 9 am to 3 pm Mon-Fri. Kids bring their own lunches and water bottles and we'll take care of the rest! Kids code throughout the week and then demo their week's creations on the last day of camp. Additionally, ALL of our 2023 Summer Camps will include a daily hour of outdoor team-building activities (Mon-Thu) led by X-Fit Training of El Cerrito. Before lunch, we'll head over to Live Oak Park for some fun, active, cooperative games. We're happy to be partnering with X-Fit to promote an active and healthy lifestyle for all our campers.
Camps
- Pi Jam (Ages 10+, week of 6/24-6/28): Jam to the coolest tech gadget, the Raspberry Pi 400. Explore cool stuff you can do with a computer all wrapped up inside of a keyboard, which may include controlling physical stuff like light sensors, coding in Python or other fun stuff! Each camper will receive the latest Raspberry Pi 400 that they can keep. Register for Pi Jam
- Mobile Madness (Ages 10+, week of 7/15-7/19): This camp introduces kids to the world of mobile app development by coding mobile apps loaded on an Android-based mobile phone. Each camper will receive a basic Android phone that they can keep. Register for Mobile Madness
