Classroom Matters is excited to announce work-study opportunities available for the 25-26 school year: tutoring in exchange for front-desk support.

The front desk position includes greeting staff and families, answering phones, light cleaning/organizing, email correspondence, and addressing issues as they arise during the shift. There will be supervisors on site to support and assist as needed.

There are four (4) shifts available from Monday through Thursday; each shift is 3.25 hours long, starting at 3:45pm and ending at 7pm. A single shift is redeemable for a 60-minute tutoring session. We ask participants to make a minimum commitment of one (1) semester.

This is a great opportunity to get valuable work experience in a fun and dynamic setting, participate in a barter economy, and receive tutoring/coaching support without spending money.

The right person will be:

  • A junior in high school or older
  • Responsible
  • Friendly/outgoing
  • Punctual
  • Excited to work with people
  • Excited to face new challenges
  • Able to shift and adapt to situations as they arise
  • Comfortable with written and verbal communication
  • Open to feedback
  • Interested in being a part of a vibrant and diverse community

If you are interested in applying for the position, please complete this form and we will contact you to schedule a brief interview. Thank you!
