Now open in Castro Valley! Accepting new clients. Sylvia Blake recently retired from the Hayward Unified School District from her positions as Special Education Counselor and School Psychologist. She has just opened a new private practice play therapy center at The Redwood Building in Castro Valley. Ms. Blake has 24 years of experience providing play therapy to children with special needs, disabilities, trauma, etc. She also taught, as an adjunct professor, in the School Counseling and School Psychology graduate program at CSUEB for 7 years, including psychotherapy for children and adolescents, law and ethics in counseling, director of clinical rounds, and all levels of internship supervision. Ms. Blake is passionate about her work and dedicated to the practice of play therapy.
