Berkwood Hedge School: After-School Care & Enrichment for TK–5

Beginning August 13, 2025, Berkwood Hedge School will offer X-CARE, a creative and caring after-school program for children TK-5th grade, open to families across the East Bay.

Rooted in curiosity, creativity, and connection, X-CARE extends the spirit of our school day into the afternoon. We offer:

• Healthy snacks
• Arts & crafts
• Storytelling and sensory play
• Movement and mindfulness
• Outdoor time and free play
• Homework support
• Rotating enrichment classes such as dance, woodworking, cooking, and coding — all included in tuition

We follow the BUSD academic calendar and offer 2-day, 3-day, and 5-day options, with a caring, experienced team and a low child-to-staff ratio of 8:1.
