The B.E.A.R. Moms (Berkeley, El Cerrito, Albany, Richmond and beyond) are a lovely informal group; we chat and snack while our little ones play. Most of us have kids ranging from newborn to 4 y/o, but all are welcome. 

I started this group 4 years ago because I wanted make local mom friends. I moved to California from Florida 6 years ago and then relocated to El Cerrito with my husband right before our daughter arrived. The group has been such a joy to organize! It's super rewarding to make friends, build community, and give and receive support.
