About the Program:

Cherry Blossom School will provide balanced Japanese immersion childcare curriculum with a focus on cultural, social and physical development. Our mission is to develop a sustainable childcare program whose primary goal is to exceed every parent's expectations by providing safe, best-in-class, educational and childcare services for small children.  We are a family centered child care facility in that we care for children and their families. We work together with the parents to build the optimal learning environment for children. Cherry Blossom School is a small group child care service and our caregiver-child ratio is 1- 3. Our staff members are sensitive and well trained, and we spend the time and energy to arrange the environment in appropriate ways.

  • We're looking for a daycare/preschool for our toddler starting in August and were wondering if anyone had any information about Cherry Blossom Toddler Care? It's so close to our house but we can't find any online reviews. Is it new? Any information is much appreciated!

Hi, my daughter attends there and she loves it. I would be happy to answer any questions, please message me. Thanks!

We sent our young son to Cherry Blossom Toddlercare when they had just opened and it was the best decision we ever made. Our boy thrived there - emotionally, socially...and he learned Japanese despite our family not knowing the language! The place is warm, welcoming, bright, and cheery. Akiko and her staff are amazing and it literally feels like one big family. Highly recommend!

Unfortunately, we did not have a good experience. We transitioned our two year old son from a wonderful in-home daycare, where he thrived, to Cherry Blossom, so that he could learn Japanese. He was having difficulty adjusting to the Japanese language immersion and new environment. With the staff not knowing how to redirect an adjusting two year old, our son exhibited behavior (ripping books, pushing, being disruptive) that he has never shown at home, previous daycare, parks, playdates or with grandparents. Our interactions with the staff were cold and punitive. He was only given one month to adjust before we were notified via email one afternoon of his immediate termination, without the courtesy of any advance notice for us to find alternate childcare.

The other parents are friendly and most seem to like the school and are happy with their kid’s command of the Japanese language. Unfortunately, we were not given the opportunity to get to that point.
