About the Program:

My wife and I are offering excellent home daycare in the Longfellow neighborhood of Emeryville. My background includes a B.A. in Liberal Studies with an emphasis on Child Development. I have worked at UC Berkeley preschools, the French American Elementary in Berkeley and for the Oakland Unified School District. We hope to offer the best of both worlds with a small ratio and home setting as well as excellent curriculum based on the best research in the field of education. Our daughter is 24 months old and we are looking to enroll children starting at age 4-6 months old with families looking for long-term care. We offer very flexible hours and hourly billing. We offer organic home cooked vegan meals and also serve non-vegan food and formula provided by families.

We started our son at June Baby Daycare at 5 months. As a first time Mom, Eli and Marz did an amazing job making me feel connected and up to date while being away from my baby for the first time. They made it easier for me to make my transition back to work, it was one less thing I had to worry about. My son loved being dropped off and Eli and Marz helped him transition from a stationary baby to one ready to explore! They did an amazing job with all the activities and it was encouraging to see my son flourish at their daycare.

They were really understanding of the difficulties I would face while transitioning back to work. Their communication about any new milestones, what they needed from me, or things I could do at home was appreciated. They spent a lot of time and effort to make this new transition as smooth as possible for both me and my son. They have also created a great community within the daycare that I enjoyed being a part of.

We had to leave due to my work schedule being difficult to predict. Eli and Marz were very willing to work with us, but I ultimately made the difficult decision to leave. They did such an wonderful job and I can't express how grateful I am for my son's time with them. I would be so happy to return to June Baby Daycare in the future.

My daughter loved going to June Baby Daycare in Emeryville (right next to North Oakland border). Run by a loving couple, they looked after my little one from age 6mo until she was a toddler and moved into a bigger daycare. She loved going there and they gave her such good care, holding her for bottles, reading to her, patting her back for naps. Highly recommend! Eli and Marz are the best. https://www.junebabydaycare.com

Our journey with Junebaby Daycare was been truly outstanding. Our daughter, starting at 9 months old with bottle refusal and separation anxiety, found an incredibly supportive environment under the care of Eli and Marz.

Eli and Marz demonstrated exceptional patience and kindness in helping our daughter adjust to the bottle. Their gentle approach and personalized care were stellar, and we witnessed her flourishing in their nurturing environment.

Eli and Marz went above and beyond, feeding our daughter the extra food we packed (due to bottle refusal) and meticulously following warming and feeding instructions beyond their standard vegan meal plan.

The developmental activities provided were not only age-appropriate but also instrumental in fostering our daughter's cognitive and motor skills. Eli and Marz's genuine investment in the social and emotional well-being of the children showed remarkably in our daughter's overall development.

As we anticipate the arrival of our second child, securing a spot on Junebaby Daycare's waitlist is our top priority. The positive impact on our family has been immeasurable, and we wholeheartedly recommend Junebaby for their exceptional care and personalized approach to child development.

We can’t say enough good things about Eli and Marz at June Baby Daycare. They looked after our daughter starting when she was 6mo until she was 9mo. I had to relocate to the East Coast for work for several months and we had to give up our spot with them, which is the only reason we left. We were so heartbroken to leave, and we are hoping to come back and have them care for our daughter again! As our first daycare experience they were very communicative, reassuring, supportive, and so helpful. They worked with us to get our daughter napping in a crib (instead of on Mom), and found a good protocol for minimizing her separation anxiety at drop off. Eli and Marz (and their sweet and vivacious 6yr old Ripley) are everything we wanted for our baby’s care: caring, thoughtful, responsible, communicative, and very fun. Our little one was always full of smiles and happy squeaks when we picked her up at the end of the day!

Eli and Marz cared for my son starting when he was 4 months old. He was with them for a year. He is my second child and we've been through a number of daycares, preschools, and nannies. I can say without reservation that Eli and Marz provided the absolute best experience of any of them. They were professional and responsible but also loving and fun. My child was in their care from late 2017 - early 2019, and then moved to preschool.

Eli and Marz truly understand child development and structure their approaches accordingly. While my child was in their care, I was impressed by their willingness to meet exactly what parents wanted for their kids. My child wasn't a "cry-it-out" baby for nap time, I would nurse him to sleep. So Eli would put him in a baby carrier and walk and bounce him to sleep and then carefully transfer him to a crib. Worked great. They shared regular updates about how his day went. But mostly, I could just tell that they both really cared for him. I always tell people that if my husband and I died, I would trust Eli and Marz to adopt my kids. I can't say that for any of our other previous caregivers, so I think it's pretty high praise!

I have nothing negative to report. We never had bad experiences or challenges in communication, scheduling, etc.

I felt my daughter would be in good hands immediately after I met Eli and Marz because they are warm, welcoming, and knowledgeable. My daughter didn’t make things easy for them, she initially refused bottles and naps, but Eli’s and Marz’s creativity, patience, and determination soon turned things around. I was so relieved that they were able to get my daughter to drink from a bottle and take two naps a day!

If you are looking for childcare providers who care deeply for your child, who keep you well-informed about your child’s sleep and milk/food consumption, and who create an environment that fosters learning and development, look no further than June Baby Daycare!

I am writing to highly recommend June Baby Daycare to anyone in search of a caring, thoughtful, and nurturing in-home daycare.  Eli and Marz are parents themselves, and are both knowledgeable and responsive to all questions and concerns.  They provide updates throughout the day as needed and re-caps at pick-up so we know how each day has gone.  Our 8-month-old son lights up every time we drop him off and has really bonded with their daughter, who is proof positive that they are excellent caregivers.  Feel free to message me if you have any questions or want to know more about our experiences with June Baby!
