You will receive the highest level of teaching in a cozy, neighborhood music studio, in Oakland just off of 580, with free parking. Dr. Jennifer Trowbridge has been playing music professionally for 30 years and teaching for more than 20 years. She earned a doctorate in music from Northwestern University. Whether you are a complete beginner, preparing for a career in music, or anything in between, Jennifer will support you every step of the way. Her former students have been awarded scholarships to many of the top schools including SF Conservatory of Music and the USC.
We have been thrilled with Dr. Trowbridge! Our seven year-old child has been taking piano lessons from Dr. Trowbridge for the last year and we feel extremely grateful that our child has had such an excellent teacher.
Dr. Trowbridge’s love for her students radiates out in her joyful exuberance. She teaches with incredible attentiveness and celebrates each new incremental skill and understanding. One thing that was unique in our experience of music teachers was how she helped our family integrate music into our lives. She lent us her book of Jewish music so that we could find songs to play at holidays and she taught me the percussion part of “Imagine” so that I could drum along while our child played it on the piano. We look forward to more music with Dr. Trowbridge!
Try asking Jennifer Trowbridge. She has a studio in Oakland and she is a professional musician with a PhD and many years of teaching experience, including with kids. She is an excellent guitar player and guitar and other strings are her primary/main instruments although she also teaches music theory and some piano.
