Cragmont afterschool programs that provide transportation

Hi All,

I'm researching afterschool options for next school year for my (soon-to-be) K and 3rd graders. Wondering if anyone knows of afterschool programs OR activities (classes, lessons) your kids have liked that provide transportation from elementary schools. My kids go to Cragmont. I know the JCC provides a bus. Do folks know of others as well?

Thanks for the help!
Amanda

The City of Berkeley aftercare programs provide bussing to and from some BUSD schools. My kindergartener takes the bus from Malcolm X to Live Oak park for the Live Oak aftercare program.

I am a current Cragmont parent -- at least this year there was not a bus to JCC available (I had wanted to use that), but they have a wonderful program from what I hear and you might be able to get a carpool with some of the parents from Cragmont going there. I believe that the Frances Albrier afterschool program has a BUSD bus, but I personally was unable to get into that program even having put in my application the same day because the waitlist is so long. I ended up in the Learns program and my child has been enjoying it, along with the enrichment classes that are offered for fee on site (they bring your kids to the enrichment class and then bring them over to Learns when they are done).  Hope this helps!
