My daughter has been going to Park Place since August 2022 - when she was four months old. Susan is a wonderful caregiver who interacts with the babies a lot. I love how small the daycare is - Susan only takes care of up to four babies/toddlers at a time. Susan notices little things about my daughter, like how she responds well to music or what kinds of food she prefers. She provides daily reports on when/how much my daughter eats and sleeps. Now that my daughter eats real food, she cooks and feeds her healthy food daily. My daughter is happy when I drop her off and when I pick her up, and so am I!

My son just transitioned out of Park Place, where he was from age 6 months to 2.5 years. We absolutely love Ms. Park and attribute our son's growth to her ability to nurture small children. She is compassionate and knowledgable and her experience was so helpful to us as first time parents. We would often ask her advice on things like napping, feeding, etc in those early years. My son never had attachment anxiety and always seemed happy to see her and when we picked him up, as well as the other children in her care.

She is a great cook and served wonderful organic food for the children. My son was a bit picky and she did her best to adapt and feed him nutritious meals. We highly recommend Park Place Daycare.

I only have great things to say about Park Place Day Care.  My child started there at the age of 8 months, and it was our first experience with day care.  Susan made the transition as seamless as possible.  She truly has a caring and nurturing spirit.  We knew our child would thrive there.  We loved that it is a relatively small day care, so that each child is able to get some individualized attention.  She also prepares homemade organic meals - she is a great cook!  We wholeheartedly recommend her day care.

I loved them the moment I met them. Since 2013, Mrs. & Mr. Park has played such an important role in the development of our daughter. They've taught our daughter how to care and love. The other babies there are always smiling and that says a lot! Park Place also offers their kids a very organic diet. Mr. Park has a green thumb and maintains a wonderful garden and Mrs. Park shops at the Farmer Joe's nearby. Mrs. Park has been flexible, patient, and loving and we couldn't ask for more. Thank you for all that you do.

I've been meaning to post a review about Park Place Daycare for several months,
since my son transitioned to ''preschool'' last fall.  We LOVED Park Place and the
two wonderful people who run the daycare, Susan and Ben Park.  They
welcomed our son at 6 months of age (though they take babies who are
younger), and cared for him as if he was family.  They had great hours (we
brought our son M-F, 7:30 to 5, but they were open until 5:30), prepared a
variety of foods for him when he began eating solids, spoke to him in Korean
and English, and exposed him to indoor and outdoor activities as he grew.  By
the time my son transitioned into a preschool, he referred to the Parks as
grandma and grandpa (in Korean, of course).  For someone who has a lot to
juggle in their family and professional life, it was invaluable to have a care
provider who was 100% reliable, whom I completely trusted with my child.  We
hope Mrs. Park will have space for our newest addition to our family when I
have to return to work in a few months.

Susan Park was a God sent angel when my husband and I found her as a childcare provider for my son. My son started at Park's Place when he was seven months old. He attended Park's Place for two and a half years. As a first time mother, Susan has a great way of putting you at ease and caring for your child as if they were one of her own grandchildren. I loved the Diamond District neighborhood where Park's Place is located. It is a great neighborhood for walks and neighbors are always pushing strollers and walking dogs. Children at Parks Place are taken for walks and they also play in a spacious backyard. Children are provided snacks, breakfast and lunch once they are no longer using formula or breast milk for meals. Susan is committed to using the best practices in home daycare and she attends classes at Bananas throughout the year. The number of children at Park Place is under 6. During my son's time there, Park's Place had only three full time children and one part time child enrolled. I wish I had another child ready to take my son's place. I hope when the time comes to expand my family, there will be space available. If you have any questions please do not hesitate contacting me. Park's Place M-F 7:30am-6pm Susan Park 510-482-1798

I must disclose that the caregiver is my mother-in-law first. I highly recommend her regardless - she has cared for all three of our young children and has done a great job. She loves to play with the kids -- and the kids love her, so much so that the kids in her care don't want to leave at the end of the day. She prepares healthy food for the kids old enough to eat, some food is from her own garden (she grew up on a farm in Korea). She is fluent in English and Korean.

Check out her website http://oaklandcare.blogspot.com/, Park Place is has 3 openings for full-time in January 2013 and 2 part-time openings now (M, TH, F) for an infant/toddler (3 months to 3 years old). Susan is licensed and CPR/First Aid certified. Her hours are Monday- Friday 7:30am-5:30pm. Please contact Susan for more information at 510-482-1798 (evenings are best - please leave a message during the day) or email baypark [at] gmail.com.

May 2010

As a new mom I was frantic trying to find a good place to take my son when I started back to work at 3 months. Mrs. Cheon Park is so nice, warm and caring. She doesn't have a lot of children to take care of so my son got extra attention and love. She took notes as to when my son used the restroom, ate, etc., and had a good report for me whenever I saw her.

She is a genuine person who I will miss as I have had to take my son from this place because we moved to Contra Costa County! :(

She is very very reasonable and is accepting children now (as of May 2010). Her hours are also flexible and reasonable. Call her: 510.482.1798 or email me for more info if you like!
