  • I’d love to hear feedback from current or recent parents sending their kids to Bright Horizons at Bayer. The twos program is of particular interest but I’m curious about all age categories. Thanks!

  • I'm looking for parents' thoughts and experiences regarding Bright Horizons at Bayer in Berkeley. I'm considering sending my daughter there and it seems like a great facility with lots of happy kids. We're looking for something fairly structured for her and I imagine since this is a nationwide operation they follow a regular set of rules. I'm just curious if the "chain" aspect of it makes it somehow impersonal, or if it all depends on the teachers just like anywhere else. I'd appreciate any feedback anyone can provide.

Hey! We've been parents of two kids - aged 5 and 2 currently - at BH for about 3 years. We've been super happy with them overall and would recommend them.

For a short while they had some trouble with turnover, as lots of child care places do, but it's seemed to improve greatly lately. I think it's a great place and does not feel corporate or impersonal at all.

    Hope this helps!

Hi! I'm glad you asked this question. We're thinking about sending our 3 year old son there too, starting in January. I don't have any experience with this Bright Horizons, but we did send all of our kids to a Bright Horizons in a different state. We had great experiences there, and really liked the structure they provided.

This facility has never been reviewed yet, and while our family isn't part of it yet I liked it so much during my visit that I wanted to put it on the BPN's map.

I visited the facility today. It's new, about a year old. Very nice outside area, very secure yet welcoming. The director, Jennifer Galloso, is a very energetic and warm person. The children looked content and taken care of, even though it was end of day. Only one was crying, but only because she wanted to go to the infant room which she just transitioned from - I take it as a good sign of how well she's bonded with her caregivers at the infant part of the site.

The program sounded great. They let kids be kids, and teach them age appropriate things. There's lots of communication to parents about how their child's day was. Everything is bright, new and clean. I wish this place were closer to my work, but I am still considering it for my daughter because it's so wonderful.
