Restaurant with private room for 12

My in-laws would like to have a small celebration in honor of their 60th anniversary (12 people, ages 17-90). A private room would be best so that everyone can hear. Maybe lunch, maybe dinner. Oakland would be most convenient. Do you know of any restaurants that might fit the bill?

The doctors I work with use Z Cafe on Broadway for a lot of things where they want private space with food/drinks. They have a private room upstairs. You just talk to Mehdi, the owner, and he can give you price quotes, etc.

Trabocco in Alameda (Southshore) has a room off to the back that would be perfect. We had a small party for my elderly parents there before covid and it was quiet and secluded. I don't know if they still rent out the room but you can call and ask.

The Wolf in Oakland has a private room for large parties. We went with that for my doctoral graduation party and it was perfect! Delicious food and the ambiance felt very special! Hope this helps.

Check out Grand Lake Kitchen-Dimond at Dimond and MacArthur. I think they have a private room.

I'd look at Grand Lake Kitchen in Dimond Park!

Hello,

Check out ButterCup Diner on 229 Broadway in Oakland (510-444-2976).  They have a private banquet room.  We held our son's 18th birthday family dinner there.  They also have a small off street parking lot.

Best regards,

Diona

Kokkari in SF has a perfect room and is delicious!

I'm only familiar with Berkeley, but Fonda has a great upper level that is the right size (although there is a staircase involved).

Akemi in Berkeley (on Solano) has a private room and are open for both lunch and dinner. Really fresh and delicious Japanese cuisine, and the prices are cheaper than you’d expect given the food, service, and ambiance. We’ve celebrated a handful of special events with larger groups there over the years and haven’t been disappointed.
