Our 13-month old daughter is thriving at Hope Childcare Center and Preschool. The staff are warm, professional, attentive, very communicative, and work as a team. Ms. Annalyn, the director, and the board have handled the challenges of the pandemic with grace and professionalism and they have implemented COVID protocols that make us feel as comfortable as possible during these times having our child in the care of others. For two parents working full-time, knowing our child is enjoying her time at daycare and developing socially has made us feel so much better about the decision to send her. If you are looking for quality childcare for an infant, toddler, or preschooler, I highly recommend checking out Hope.

Preschool Two Days a Week: I've been really happy with Hope Preschool in El Sobrante (from I-80, take the San Pablo Dam Road exit). Although it is called a ''preschool,'' they take children as young as 4 months, which is when my son (now 14 months) started there.
It's on May Road (near San Pablo Dam Road), and the number is (510) 222-9222. You can drop by any time -- no appt. needed. I know it's a bit out of your area, but at least you'd have the reverse commute going for you.
The caregiver-to-child ratio seems pretty good. It's about 3 to 1 in the infant room and 4 to 1 in the toddler room. But even for the over-2 kids, the group seems small.
You have to bring your child's lunch and breakfast, but they have Cheerios and stuff like that for snacks. Also, your child can attend only two days a week (no need to go full-time). I don't think the not-potty-trained thing would be an issue. I have seen some pretty big kids there still wearing diapers.
