  • Hi,

Looking for any recent reviews for Alameda Mandarin Day Care. I didn't see any reviews on BPN and the 2 reviews on Yelp are old. I had initially contacted a different day care, but they were full so they recommended Alameda Mandarin Day Care. (I should mention that the 2 day cares are sisters that used to operate as 1 then eventually branched off on their own.) I have a 22mos old daughter and this is the only day care we have toured. My husband seems to like it but i'd like to hear from the families about their personal experiences. My daughter has only been at home with family so i guess i'm having a hard time as any parent would putting her care into the hands of someone else.

    Thanks in advance.

If this is the daycare on San Jose Ave, my son was there for a year (age 14m to 2 years) in 2016. We LOVED the providers (Pam) and I recommend them to everyone. The reason we left after he turned two was to join his older sister who was already in preschool in Oakland. If it weren't for the necessity of having one drop-off and pick-up, I would have kept him with Pam longer. I can't say enough positive things about this daycare! Feel free to contact me if you'd like to speak more.

Reasons we picked Alameda Mandarin Daycare for our daughter:

  1. We liked the director/owner Pam. She is very caring and is very responsive to our communications.
  2. Very clean and the indoor space was renovated  last year. No shoes allowed indoors.
  3. Only infants and babies at this entire home sites and older ones go to preschool at their 2nd location. We personally didn't like daycares where much older kids were running around.
  4. Opportunity to learn Mandarin from teachers.
  5. Homemade food is provided, all meals and snacks.
  6. Parents I met there have sent their kids there since infant start and continue their kids through preschool location so they must be happy.
  7. They post great photos and videos of my child throughout the day in the Brightwheel app, so I feel connected.
