Talk About Life Tutoring: Expert guidance in Biology and AP Biology

Biology

Who am I?

I am a currently employed biology and AP biology teacher. I have been teaching high school  for over 12 years. The school at which I teach has an award winning science department of which I am a proud team member. My AP biology students exceed by far the national average not only in passing the AP exam, but also in earning 4’s and 5’s. I have always had a deep love of the natural world, and have a graduate degree in marine biology. I am passionate about imparting my love of biology to my students, and am highly skilled at designing creative ways to teach students with diverse learning styles and needs.

What do I offer?

I offer tutoring in both biology and AP biology. I offer expertise in guiding students through the extensive, complex, and at times challenging biology and/or AP biology curriculum. Being an AP biology teacher myself means I have access to a wide array of supporting materials, both my own and those provided AP biology teachers by the college board. These include practice AP exam questions, lab write-up supporting materials, worksheets, lecture slides and more.

Where do I offer my services?

If you choose me as your tutor, we will meet at the main branch of the Berkeley Public Library. Other arrangements can be made after a working relationship has been established.

How much do I charge?

I charge $60.00 for a 50 minute session
