For the last twelve years I’ve dedicated myself to teaching people of all ages the joy of learning music. Whether piano, voice, songwriting/composition, drums, ukulele, music theory or music production, I bring all that I have learned and developed as a musician to the lesson in the interest of the student’s growth. Classical, jazz, or pop, I can teach in various styles. My method involves learning fundamentals:  technique, theory, ear training, sight-reading, and performance. We focus on what will directly fit your individual goals. As the lessons progress, students are prone to honing in on their individual path, and the guidance to the empower them in their journey arises naturally.

I can come to the home, or teach from my studio at the Berkeley/Oakland border.

A little bit about my background:  I have studied with over twelve music quality music teachers for 6 years at Saddleback Community College in Orange County. I’ve studied a number of styles while composing for and performing in various small ensembles, including:  world music, classical, pop, jazz, and musical theatre. I continue to produce and compose music for myself and other artists as well.
