Piano Lessons from Dr. Elizabeth Dorman
Hi! My name is Dr. Elizabeth Dorman and I am a professional pianist and piano teacher. I teach piano to students of all ages and am now accepting new students for summer and fall lessons. I emphasize a positive learning atmosphere with carefully structured training in technique to build natural musicianship and a love of practicing. I'm currently teaching virtually and look forward resuming in person lessons as soon as it is safe!
For more information about my life as a pianist and to hear my recordings, please read more about me on my website at: http://www.elizabethdorman.com
I'm an active member of MTAC and my former students have gone on to study professionally. I teach at the Crowden Music Center in Berkeley, chamber music at California Music Preparatory Academy and privately at my studios in San Francisco and Albany, CA. Previously, I have taught at Stony Brook University and the San Francisco Conservatory of Music Pre-College. I've given masterclasses at Icicle Creek Music Center, Pacific Lutheran University, the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and others, and I currently serve on the board of the Ross Mckee Foundation. My main teacher was Gilbert Kalish who I studied with while receiving my doctorate.
