Online Biology and Spanish Tutor

Hi, my name is Lily Stoner and I have tutored hundreds of hours in Biology and Spanish over the last 5 years. I am Nurse Practitioner Student at Yale School of Nursing with a bachelors in Biology from Oberlin College.  I am currently a Teaching Assistant in Medical Surgical Nursing, and I tutor middle school through graduate level students online. I am a highly approachable and compassionate person who values interpersonal connection and establishing a learning environment that is comfortable and safe for students. I hope to instill confidence and excitement in the students I tutor!

Biology: My love of biology began in high school, in an International Baccalaureate Course. I have tutored many highschoolers taking International Baccalaureate and Advanced Placement Biology and prepared them successfully to take the IB and AP exam. I also work with younger students, helping them to formulate a strong foundation for key concepts and to develop study strategies and skills within the sciences. 

Spanish: I am fluent in Spanish and have spent extensive time in Chile over the course of my studies. I am well-equipped to tutor all levels of Spanish, ranging from beginners to highschoolers preparing for AP and IB exams. I became fluent through an elementary school dual-immersion program, and I strongly believe that an immersive and conversational approach is key.
