I listen to what teens say about math, statistics, and the barriers they are experiencing. I get right into the trenches with them, and help them unearth their way to a positive attitude about math and statistics. They gain confidence, they become more independent learners, and they stop avoiding homework. I help them to be better prepared for tests. A number of students even tell me that actually like math since working with me. When my seniors go off to college, I'll get word that they are using techniques that they learned from me to succeed in college.
