A writer and a former teacher, I’ve been tutoring professionally for seven years. I work with kids of all ages to help them improve in math, reading and writing, and general study skills. I have availability in my schedule and would love to speak with you about the possibility of working with your child.

I tutor students in the following subjects:

• Elementary math, Pre-algebra, algebra 1 and 2, and geometry: I work with students from second grade up to eleventh grade. Our shared goals are improved understanding of concepts, experience solving problems, increased comfort sharing mathematical reasoning.
• Writing, composition, and reading: I work with students of all ages to help them gain writing confidence. I also provide strategies for reading comprehension and for other language arts skills.
• Study skills and learning how to learn: Using the most recent science of learning, I pass on skills that help students stay organized, be aware of their own learning processes, and pro-actively approach academic learning.
