Hello Berkeley Parents Network,

If you are looking for someone who is personable, approachable, friendly, and fun, who is also a practiced math tutor (in that order), let's get in touch!

I love helping students of all ages learn mathematics, anything from introductory to college level material. I can also tutor computer science and physics. Over the years, I have tutored all kinds of students, from elementary schoolers to Silicon Valley professionals. Whether your student needs focused help with a math course, some technical practice, intuitive understanding, a general overview of a subject, or a fun side project to learn some math, we can find a style and method that works best for them.

I recently graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree in Mathematics, and am beginning a PhD in Applied Mathematics at Cornell University in August. I didn't enjoy mathematics until I began studying it in University, at which point I became enamored with the subject, and I can relate to everyone from young math math whiz to the struggling or disinterested student.

Additionally, I am happy to help students with their college applications. Over the past few years I have helped students write essays that brought them to places like UC Berkeley, Princeton, and Carnegie Mellon.

Please don't hesitate to get in touch if you think I can help!

Thank you and best wishes,

Samuel
