Experienced and Engaging Math/Science Tutor for Middle and High School Students
About me: I graduated from Harvard College in 2017, and since then have been tutoring, traveling, and working in the medical field. I moved to the Bay Area last year and am preparing to apply to graduate school.
Tutoring experience: During college, I tutored my peers in introductory chemistry and biology courses and genetics. After graduation, I began tutoring middle and high school students in my hometown (Washington, DC). Most of my students needed support with middle school math, 10th grade or AP Chemistry, or precalculus, but I am comfortable tutoring all middle and high school subjects, as well as standardized test preparation. I have tutored students with various learning differences including ADHD and can offer strategies for organization and studying.
My approach: I love to find new and engaging ways to present material. I identify what is holding each student back, whether it is a lack of confidence or interest, a missing underlying concept, or a misunderstanding of the content, so we can create a unique plan together.
Logistics: I am available for sessions after school or on the weekend. $50/hour for virtual tutoring.
