Hello,

I am an experienced credentialed science teacher currently working part time in Berkeley.  I hope to host two 2nd-4th grade students at my home for hands on learning and enrichment opportunities in the afternoons for a total of ~12 hours per week.  They will be joining my own two second graders as well as being in the same house as my 8th and 9th graders.  I look forward to teaching cooking chemistry, gardening, outdoor adventures, as well as assisting with their core academic subjects.  

A bit about myself:  I am a Cal grad who worked as a professional baker and outdoor adventure guide before starting teaching.  I have taught at all levels k-12, mostly focused in math and science.  We have four children and live on ~1/3 acre which hosts chickens, quails, bees, a huge vegetable garden, and dozens of fruit trees.  I support a hands on, kinesthetic teaching style with a growth mind set approach to learning. 

25$/hour, sliding scale negotiable for families in need
