December 2016: Rob Waxman notified us that Irene Waxman has closed her business.
I have been a child care provider since 1998. I love taking care of children and especially infants. I am located in Richmond Annex, very close to El Cerrito. I am near I-80, BART and bus. I have a large back yard for play. Individual, loving care, and your child's safety, is of the utmost importance in taking care of your child. I love to play, read and sing songs with the children. Please contact me to set up time to come see my home. Thank you for your consideration. (I charge $6.50 per hour.)
I was fortunate to find Irene’s childcare for my baby girl when I had to go back to work. As a new mother I was apprehensive about leaving my infant with someone else for an extended period of time. However Irene always provided Ally with loving attention and a great deal of patience. She would play with her, cook for her, and made sure she had her nap right on time. By the time my second child had to go to daycare there was no doubt in my mind that I would be taking him to Irene’s.
She is a friendly, attentive, polite, and excellent baby sitter. I cannot recommend her enough!
Thank you Irene for all the nice things you did for my kids.
I recently became a single mom of five beautiful children and had to put my last child into daycare for the first time ever and was having major anxiety and many sleepless nights about the whole situation. Until I came across Irene Waxman an angel in disguise. She started off with just my youngest son at four months old and treated him as he was her own. She is very attentive to my son, safety is her number one priority, she is patient, gentle, very responsible, she doesn't let my son watch tv or should I say let the tv act as an babysitter, and as an added bonus she is licensed. Irene has now been watching my son for over two years and recently has taken on all of my children on . And I must say her wonderful personality and burst of sunshine smile puts me at ease every morning when I drop my children off, in my eyes is priceless. And would recommend Irene to anyone who is looking for a caring loving mother as their self to care for their children.

I researched and read through many postings and recommendations on BPN when I was looking for a full-time nanny when my daughter was 2 months old. She will be 1 year old next month and she has been under the care of Irene Waxman and we can't be any happier. Irene is a great nanny with 13 years of experience. Your child/children will definitely receive very personal attention from Irene. She is very good at what she does. Her smiles always put a smile on my daughter's face. She is caring and attentive and I know that my daughter is in a safe and nuturing environment. Irene currently has openings now and looking to take care of your darling little one full time.
Irene has been taking care of my daughter since she was five months and she is now three years. She provides my daughter with love, attention and genuine kindness. Irene has worked hard to soothe my daughter when she is upset. She often cooks nutritious soups with a wide variety of green vegetables my daughter loves to eat. Her play time at Irene's includes dance, playing outdoors and indoor play time with a variety of toys. Each morning my daughter wakes up and she asks us if today is the day she goes to Irene's house! Irene creates a very loving environment for the children. She dances with them, plays with them, and keeps the children well engaged throughout the day. Irene has a lovely daughter who plays and watches over the children after she gets out of school.
My son was not easy and had failed at another daycare until he was charmed by Irene's big beautiful smile. We had a slow transition and then jumped into full time the following week and he has loved going there since.
She is very supportive of breast feeding and was very accommodating when the first few months my son would not nap without being held. IreneC",b"s usually the first one to notice the new tooth, or advises us on what to do for recurring cradle cap. I often times wonder how we ever made it through the first year without her!
So, if you are looking for a loving mother to care for your child as you would care for him/her, then I would wholeheartedly recommend you contact Irene at 510-528- 9532. Contact: Irene Waxman, 510-528-9532
There is an opening at a terrific, small family daycare in the Richmond Annex. I highly recommend my daughter's babysitter, Irene Waxman, who we feel truly blessed to have found. Irene has a warm, loving and kind demeanor that instills confidence in any worried parent and happiness in the children she lovingly watches. She has many years of childcare and glowing references that attest to Irene's seemingly endless supply of patience and cheerfulness. Irene generally has 3-4 kids at any one time, which is a lovely small number for the little ones. She has a darling 9-year-old daughter who plays with the kids after school and during the summer (and who my daughter adores.) Irene provides lunch and snacks, not to mention haircare!(my daughter's unruly hair always looks so nice when I pick her up!) All this for very reasonable rates and in a convenient location close to el cerrito plaza/freeway access. Feel free to contact me, or contact Irene directly at 510/528-9532 or rapidfire12[at]sbcglobal.net.
The home-based daycare where my infant daughter attends has an opening for a youngster who is already walking. My daughter has been in this daycare since she was 3 months old and we have been very happy with her care. Irene is always very good about communicating what went on during the day and if she had any problems. Although our daughter doesn't really take advantage of it yet - there is a nice, well-enclosed backyard for outdoor play in addition to the rooms inside. Our wonderful daycare provider, Irene Waxman, has an opening for 1 infant or toddler in her home daycare in the Richmond Annex (near El Cerrito Natural Grocery Store). Irene's home is a peaceful, happy place and my toddler loves being there. Irene is authentically warm, kind and gentle, and she lights up when she sees my daughter every morning. Even the first time she met Irene, my daughter went to her happily - Irene just has a lovely, calm and smiley demeanor that babies respond to. Irene even managed to get my nap-challenged daughter into a predictable nap routine! Irene is fully licensed, has very reasonable rates and provides a healthy lunch and snacks. She has a very small group of children (no more than four kids) who play happily both inside and in her wonderful backyard play space too. Feel free to contact me or Irene (info below) Lots of happy parents can provide glowing references. Contact: Irene, 510/528-9532 or rapidfire12[at]sbcglobal.net
My twins, (boy and girl) were cared for by Irene for nearly 4 years. We have stayed friends with the family and consider their daughter to be another sister. Irene provides a loving play based childcare; kids are taught how to get along and to resolve conflict in a positive constructive manner. Irene is licensed with all of the current CPR training; we always felt that Irene operates a very safe and fun environment. My kids looked forward to going to Irene's house and still do! I would be happy to answer any questions.
