After decades of providing quality childcare in Berkeley, Robin's Nest has relocated to Vallejo and is seeking clients. I have recommended Robin for many years, since she cared for our children in the 90's and they still consider her like a second mom. Robin is one of those rare childcare providers who welcomes infants and she is a magnet for kids of all ages wherever she is. Robin is fully licensed and has government security clearances, due to caring for kids from parents working at many of the high-level research facilities in the Bay Area. Robin's Nest is in a spacious, clean, safe home with indoor and outdoor play areas. Robin is reliable, cooperative & professional and definitely worth talking to if you have childcare needs in the Vallejo area.

I would like to recommend Robin's Nest (510-778-3357), a daycare near Parker and Milvia (Berkeley). She currently has openings. My 28-months old daughter has been going to Robin's for over a year and has been thriving there. She loves the little friends she met there and would like more friends now! We love and think very highly of Robin and never worry a second when our daughter is in her care. Here are the highlights of the daycare: great hours for working parents, Robin cooks for the kids, garden in back, centrally located in Berkeley, and Robin has decades of experience and a bottomless well of love for the kids. Please contact Robin directly. Alternatively you can contact me via email for more info/feedback. Fred

Robin's Nest has an upcoming opening. Centrally located near campus and downtown Berkeley, Robin specializes in infants or tiny toddlers so she can provide secure, loving, long-term care. Robin is very experienced, fully licensed, and has all the state-required certifications and classes. Her home-day care environment is one of warm, safe, loving stimulation; the children are provided with common-sense, intelligent care and learning/growing possibilities are always encouraged. Robin has a great instinct with kids and they love her. She takes wonderful care to nurture their bodies and minds and her cooperative approach makes life easier for the families.

Robin's Nest Daycare near Parker and Milvia in Central Berkeley has openings! My son is preparing to join the ranks of preschoolers and this creates an opening at Robin's Nest family daycare (two openings, actually, since another child also just graduated to preschool). Robin typically cares for about four infants/toddlers at a time in her home, and has been doing so for over 25 years. I work full time, sometimes long hours, and Robin has been there for me. For my son, I believe it feels more like going to grandma's house than daycare. She has pets, so probably not the best fit for the highly allergic, but feels like home. This is not the most inexpensive daycare in Berkeley, but she also won't have your child bundled up and sitting next to the door at 5:25 p.m. or charge a dollar per minute after 5:30. She has been quite willing to work with our schedule. Her rate is a flat monthly fee that is most suitable for full-time, M-F care. Please give her a call, and feel free to email me. Linden

If you have an infant or toddler and are seeking day care, I urge you to contact Robin Fetisoff at ''Robin's Nest'' (510-843-8897). This is a competitively priced, licensed, safe, home-based program with many distinct advantages. Robin has over 20 years of experience and glowing testimonials from generations of previous parents. She has received specialty training in many areas relevant to the care and education of infants and toddlers. She is very warm, loving, calm and competent. She takes in only a few children and she is extremely flexible about their drop-off and pick-up times. My wife and I are both Cal professors and Robin's Nest is very convenient to the campus. Robin has one or two openings now and the turnover is very low, so contact her right away if you are interested. Feel free to email me if you have a question you'd prefer not to ask her directly. My wife and I couldn't be happier with the care our infant is receiving. Richard

Robin's Nest has openings for full-time daycare. Infants are preferred. Robin is fully licensed and has taken all of the required classes and more in infant and child development. The setting is warm and loving, interesting and educational, safe, healthy and happy. Robin is the ultimate pro in child care. Her clients are professional people, including professors from UC Berkeley, which is very close by. Robin raised both of my kids and they still love her and keep her in their lives as adults. Call to set a time for a visit.

I heartily recommend Robin's Nest daycare. Robin has a licensed, home- based family daycare for infants and toddlers. Here's what I love:
- small (approx. 4 children), and accepts young infants
- Robin is a wonderful nurturer with decades of experience. I feel I'm leaving my baby with an aunt or grandma. He is definitely loved and happy in her care.
- Feels like home rather than a center, complete with pets and a backyard with real dirt.
- Robin is so supportive of babies and their parents. My parents live far away, and I am blessed to have her decades of experience and common sense re: teething, naps, feeding, etc. She is very reassuring.
- Convenient location on residential street near Shattuck/MLK/Ashby/Dwight, & walkable distance to BART (10-12 min walk)
- She has raised her own child (now grown) and hasn't forgotten what it's like to be a parent of a little one.
- She obviously loves her life's work. Many children & adults she has helped to raise are still in her life and considered extended family.

Contact Robin directly at 510-843-8897. Feel free to email me with other questions.

Opening at Robins Nest Daycare. Robin currently has an opening for an infant. My daughter went to Robins Nest for 2.5 years and just graduated to Pre school. My son will be starting Robins nest in the next month at 4 months old. Robin provides a loving family home that is very cozy and Berkeley inspired. Robin cared for my daughter as if she were her own. Robin encourages creative growth, and is sensitive to family needs. Robin was very flexible with working parents schedules and give you peace of mind. Robin provides wonderful meals and snacks throughout the day. She also encourages breast feeding and supports moms dropping in to breast feed if they like. I highly recommend Robins Nest and hope your little one can join the group. Contact: Robin Fetisoff, 510-843-8897

Current opening for an infant. Robin's Nest provides a safe and stimulating environment for young children. Robin takes only a few kids so they get plenty of attention while still having the chance to interact with each other. Her home is warm, comforting and inviting, full of curiosities for growing minds. We came across Robin's Nest here on BPN in the reviews section and from what we've seen, it's all true. She has flexible hours (7:30a to 7:30p), healthy meals, and a successful track record (as demonstrated by the frequent visits from kids- now grown up- for whom she previously cared). Robin provides a level of care that is rare to find. Call Robin for more information or e-mail me with any questions. Chris Contact: Robin Fetisoff, (510) 843-8897

June 2006

Robin's Nest in Berkeley has 2 openings for infants or toddlers. I can't say enough about how much we love Robin she is a very important member of our family. My daughter has been going to Robin's since she was 4 months old she is now 17 months. Some of Robin's kids are transitioning to Preschool so there will be openings in July. Robin tries to keep the number of children to 4 or 5 so each child receives individual attention and love. Robin provides healthy lunches and snacks throughout the day. Robin was amazingly helpful and supportive of breastfeeding. She has been doing this for over 20 years and her knowledge base is wonderful to draw from so helpful for new mom's. All her children she cares for are well respected and encouraged to be individuals. My daughter and the other children truly love Robin and would like to welcome a few more children to the home. Please contact Robin for an interview.

Jan. 2004

Our childcare provider, Robin, has openings. Robin has been taking care of kids and babies for over 20 years. My two year old loves her. I know many of the kids (and now some adults too) who grew up under Robin's care. Robin creates a warm, fun environment where the kids feel ''at home'' while learning, having fun and bonding with each other. Usually kids start as babies (our daughter started when she was 3 months old), but Robin is open to all ages. Please contact Robin directly at 843-8897 or email me if you have any questions. Holly

I would again like to recommend the childcare provider who co-mothered our children for 12-plus years. Robin gives amazing care to infants and toddlers. Fully licensed and with years of experience, Robin has taken many child development and safety classes to ensure the best experience for her clients. She provides a loving, safe, happy environment. She encourages every kind of learning experience and just has a wonderful instinct for kids. My almost-adult kids definitely consider her extended family and visit often. I cannot recommend anyone more highly. Contact: Robin Fetisoff, 510 843-8897

Because two sets of siblings have graduated, Robin's Nest has a few fulltime openings in this loving family day care. Our two year old daughter has been there since she was 7 months old and she just can't wait to go to Robbie's. She'd love to have more kids to play with. Located on Parker St. near MLK, Robin's Nest is full of love and fun. Contact: Robin Fetisoff, 510/843-8897 robinsnestbrkly at yahoo.com

I am writing about my great childcare provider, Robin. Her program is called Robin's Nest. My two year old has been attending Robin's Nest since she was 4 months old. I couldn't imagine leaving my baby; then I couldn't believe that my partner and I were so lucky to have Robin in our lives. Robin has genuine love for the kids she cares for. She creates a family atmosphere in her home were each child is loved and encouraged. The kids develop relationships with each other and they LOVE being there. Recently Robin ''graduated'' two sets of siblings. Two of the kids had been there for all 7 years of their lives and they are great happy social kids! The good news is that means there are some openings. My daughter misses her friends and we are all eager to see who will come next. Robin's number is 843-8897 or contact me for any info about Robin's Nest. Holly Contact: Robin, 510-843-8897

March 2003

Robin's Nest in Berkeley has an opening. Robin is an excellent, licensed child-care provider. She has cared for infants and toddlers in her home for many years and has taken all of the required classroom training to maintain her licensing. She has a natural instinct for kids and they love her. They are fed well, taken care of perfectly, and encouraged and stimulated toward growth in all areas. The babies at Robin's are healthy, happy and having fun. Robin raised both of my ''babies,'' who are now in their late teens and still spend time at her house, as their ''second mom.'' Robin is local to the campus and very helpful and flexible about hours and parents' special needs. Give her a call. Contact: Robin Fetisoff, (510) 843-8897
