I would like to recommend Happy House playschool on Benvenue Ave in Oakland, between alcatraz and woolsey. I have gotten to know patricia and her family since they took over the daycare from Andrea Barrios in June 2009 and I am very happy with the care my 21 month daughter is receiving there. they play lots of games, learn colors and numbers, read lots of books, listen and dance to music, work on projects, walk to the park or library (i feel very safe about this) and generally the children learn to get along with one another. my child always appears happy when i pick her up at the end of the day and that's always a great sign to me.
