Transfers into Piedmont (middle school)

Seeking advice on families who have done intra-district transfers into Piedmont at the 6th grade level for the 2024-25 school year. For anyone knowledgeable about Piedmont Middle School: (1) is there generally space in the school? (2) how welcoming was the community? I know that there's a page (https://www.piedmont.k12.ca.us/about/enrolling/transfers) and contact info, but I am hoping to do some research from the community before using official channels.
