Seeking in-person therapy for my 13 year old daughter

During Covid, my daughter was at the beginning of puberty and life how it was supposed to be for kids her age was put on hold for 2 years!!  She’s now having some anxiety, which is causing some stomach aches and minor panic attacks. I think she would really benefit from CBT and a therapist seeing in-person clients?

Good luck on your search for a therapist. In addition, I can whole-heartedly recommend the groups, retreats, and 1-on-1 offerings of Quetzal Francois and Emily Frost at Love Your Nature. My older daughter (now in college) has been part of a girls' group with Emily for about 10 years and it has been a wonderful supportive place to be *her(full)self* and to talk freely with a wise and loving leader holding the circle. My younger kid is in a monthly tween group with Quetzal and Emily and it has been so key during these last two treacherous years for support and community. As a parent it feels so great to know we don't have to do it all and be it all. I wish I had had a group like my kids do---and I am deeply grateful for the loving work Quetzal and Emily do to help kids be safer, more joyful, more playful, and connected. Groups are in-person!
