Neurofeedback for anxiety

I'd love to hear your neurofeedback stories, successful or not. Has anyone tried it for anxiety? Is it worth the cost? My teenager has high social anxiety, and thus refuses to see a psychiatrist, therapist or to have any treatment that involves talking to another adult (yes, any medical appointments are a challenge). With the new BrainSpa opening in Albany, I'm wondering if it would be worth trying neurofeedback as an alternative that might, eventually, have her more ready for other types of intervention. Any other advice on help for social anxiety is welcome.
